Kathmandu, Dec 11  : Nepal Folklore Society (NFS) is organising the 7th International Folklore Congress here from December 13 to 15.Ninety six experts from Nepal, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Japan, America, Britain, Spain and Russia will be presenting 86 papers related to various countries' art, culture, folk music and musical instruments, indigenous communities, costumes etc in the conference. 

Addressing a news conference today to share about the Congress, Society president Tulasi Diwasa said a special session on legends and folk stories, folk songs and folk dance will also be organised as part of the Congress.  The Society has been organizing the Congress since 2001.

It has also published books based on research studies conducted about 10 different indigenous nationalities communities.
The Congress will be held in collaboration of the Kathmandu Metropolitan City, Nepal Academy and Loyalty Academy.
